The GY-291 ADXL345 accelerometer module is a compact three-axis motion sensor designed for tilt detection, vibration analysis, and motion-sensing projects with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and ESP32. The ADXL345 chip delivers 13-bit resolution across X, Y, and Z axes. It supports a selectable range from ±2g up to ±16g. In addition, it works over both I2C (a two-wire serial interface) and SPI (a four-wire interface), so it connects to most microcontrollers without extra components. The module runs on 3.3V to 5V and draws very little current, making it a practical choice for battery-powered wearables and remote sensors. Key Features of the ADXL345 Accelerometer Module 13-bit resolution with selectable range: ±2g, ±4g, ±8g, or ±16g Supports I2C (two-wire) and SPI (three or four-wire) communication Supply voltage: 3.3V to 5V Ultra-low power — ideal for portable and wearable builds Compact PCB: 20.6 × 15.4mm, 4g Standard 2.54mm pitch headers for breadboard use Built-in tap, free-fall, activity, and inactivity interrupt outputs Use Cases Tilt and inclination sensing in robotics and vehicle platforms Gesture recognition in wearable devices Vibration monitoring and shock detection Drone and gimbal stabilisation feedback Step counting in fitness and activity trackers Impact alert systems Works Well With LilyPad 328 ATmega328P Board — an Arduino-compatible board suited to wearable and motion-sensing builds with the ADXL345 accelerometer module.
